About Us

At TruGreen Metal we’re more than just a company, we’re a family.

The TruGreen Story

Across the Canadian Prairies, countless farmyards and businesses were filled with obsolete equipment and rusting vehicles—but most people didn’t have the tools or resources to haul it to a recycling facility.

In 2015, brothers Miguel and Mathieu Catellier founded TruGreen Metal Recycling, a mobile scrap metal recycling company built on a simple idea: if you can’t get your scrap metal to the recycling facility, we’ll bring the recycling facility to you.

Armed with a 24-ton excavator, a demo grapple, a 40-inch magnet, and a trailer, they got to work—cleaning up farmyards, landfills, and oilfield scrap metal, one satisfied customer at a time.

Since then, TruGreen has served over 12,500 customers across Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, and British Columbia and has recycled more than 1 billion pounds of steel products.

“We may be a bit bigger now, but we’re still on a mission to clean up the Prairies—one satisfied customer at a time.”

Building Communities

At TruGreen Metal we believe that when you’re blessed you should be a blessing.
Each year we give away a percentage of our profits to great local charities that serve our community.
